The Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) is the government agency that works to make New Zealand a better place to live through the better use of energy.

We encourage people to be more energy efficient, reduce carbon emissions and switch to renewable energy at home, at work and on the road.

We work with a diverse range of businesses across New Zealand to help them become more competitive, productive and lower-carbon. We prioritise programmes that make the biggest energy efficiency and carbon savings for New Zealand, so large energy-using businesses with high carbon emissions are a key focus.
