Powerco’s internal Leadership Development Programme, led by Leadership and Capability Manager, Kacey Graham, is transforming how leaders engage with cultural identity and wellbeing. Grounded in the Te Whare Tapa Whā framework, the programme builds confident, empathetic leaders who integrate emotional intelligence into their leadership practice. Participants report significant personal and professional transformation, and the wider organisation has seen measurable increases in engagement, retention, and psychological safety and a significant drop in need by employees for counselling from their external provider. This uniquely Aotearoa-based programme is a powerful model for leadership development that improves wellbeing for leaders and the people they lead.
