Genesis’ Women in Wholesale is a frontline-led initiative building the diverse, skilled workforce needed for Aotearoa’s energy future. Designed by wāhine in operational and technical roles, it is making one of the most male-dominated parts of our business more inclusive and future-ready. Through targeted development, tailored onboarding, improved workplace systems and sector partnerships, the initiative is delivering measurable results in our Wholesale business unit. In two years, the number of women has increased from 15% to 21% in our business unit, women made up 38% of hires, and progression opportunities for women have significantly strengthened.
