In the face of unprecedented global fuel supply chain pressures, Channel Infrastructure came up with a unique and expedient solution to significantly boost New Zealand’s diesel storage capacityat Marsden Point. Boasting 350 million litres of unutilised tank capacity, the Channel team identified two tanks that could rapidly be recommissioned to enable up to 9 days’ worth of diesel storage, in two months. The team were ambitious, a project of this size and scale would usually take 18+ months. Working seven days a week, our staff and contactor workforce are delivering this project on time and safely for New Zealand.
