V2H technology – a step to the new energy future
New Zealand’s EV fleet is growing and with it the opportunity for customer and network benefits from EVs as distributed energy resources. Vector’s work in developing a NZ-specific Vehicle-to-Home solution, adapting international precedent to our own unique circumstances, has resulted in a commercial product that’s now being tested with the public and shared with other EDBs around the country. Vector’s V2H technology has the potential to transform New Zealand’s growing fleet of EVs into mobile distributed energy sources, lay8ing the platform for innovation and better customer and environmental outcomes through efficient and inter-related use of a greater number of energy resources.
