Manawa Energy knew its January 2021 announcement of a strategic review and potential sale of its Trustpower retail business would cause considerable uncertainty and stress for its employees.

Its response was to undertake an extensive employee communication and well-being programme. By creating multiple avenues for two-way dialogue, committing to open and honest communication, and providing a range of tools and workshops, the company equipped its people to turn an uncertain situation into an opportunity for personal and professional growth.
