Inclusive energy products and services matter

2021 New Zealand Energy Excellence Awards celebrated The Lines Company (TLC) and its accomplishments in taking home the inaugural Outcomes Award.

Outstanding initiatives by TLC delivered accessible and inclusive energy products, services and solutions to its customers, no matter what part of the network area they were from. The company's customer support models - the Maru Energy Trust, Vulnerable Customer Care Model, and Covid-19 Relief initiative helped alleviate significant energy hardship by providing services, relief and educational programmes. Medically dependent customers were among those benefiting from support to tackle energy poverty across the King Country region, providing drier, warmer, healthier homes.

TLC chief executive Sean Horgan says, "winning was a great achievement for TLC, but the real winners are those benefiting from what we’re doing.”
