solarZero and Te Āhuru Mōwai, the country’s largest Māori-owned community housing provider, are working together on an initiative to explore how solar and batteries together could benefit tenant whānau in community housing. After six months, the financial benefits were obvious – average savings were around $220/month per household. With such positive initial results, Te Āhuru Mōwai plans to explore opportunities to extend this Kaupapa to support more tenant whānau in the future.
