Energy Project of the Year

Award for the energy sector project that has been planned and executed with excellence and which will deliver significant benefits to stakeholders, including the wider community .

This category is open to New Zealand organisations and joint venture operations completing energy projects in New Zealand within the last two years across the entire energy sector. The award is assessed for the 24 months to 31 March 2012.

* The Energy Project of the Year award is run bienally. In 2011 the category was Innovation in Petroleum, which replaced the Petroleum Project of the Year award run in 2010.

Excellence in Health and Safety award

Award for the strongest overall demonstration of health and safety by an organisation operating in the New Zealand energy sector.

This category is open to organisations operating in the New Zealand energy sector and is being assessed for the 12 months to 31 March 2012.

 

YOUNG ENERGY EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR

The standout person aged under 40 in the New Zealand energy sector defined by their achievements for the 12 months to 31 March 2012 or culmination of achievements up to that date.

This category is open to Individuals working in the New Zealand energy sector aged under 40 and is being assessed for the 12 months to 31 March 2012.

ENERGY EXECUTIVE OF THE YEAR

The standout executive in the New Zealand energy sector defined by their achievements for the 12 months to 31 March 2012 or culmination of achievements up to that date.

This category is open to individuals working in the New Zealand energy sector and is being assessed for the 12 months to 31 March 2012.

LINES COMPANY OF THE YEAR

The electricity lines business with the strongest overall performance in New Zealand for the year including recent improvements and initiatives.

This category is open to New Zealand electricity lines businesses and is being assessed for the 12 months to 31 March 2012.

 

Energy Retailer of the year

This award goes to the energy retailer with the strongest overall performance in New Zealand for the year including recent improvements and initiatives.

This category is open to organisations retailing energy in New Zealand including the retail of electricity, natural gas, LPG and petroleum, and is being assessed for the 12 months to 31 March 2012.

Overall Energy Company of the Year

The overall energy company of the year award is the premier award of the Deloitte Energy  Excellence Awards.

This category attracts a broad range of entries from across the sector. Where other categories in the awards look at specific projects, disciplines or divisions within an organisation, this category covers the organisation’s entire operation.

Organisations entering other categories may also, and are encouraged to, enter this category.

This category is open to New Zealand energy sector organisations and is being assessed for the 12 months to 31 March 2012.

Editor’s award for outstanding contribution to the sector

The editor’s award for outstanding contribution to the sector will recognise an individual who has made a significant and long-term contribution to the New Zealand energy sector over a period of time.

This category is open to individuals with a longstanding record of outstanding contribution to the New Zealand energy sector.
