Contact Energy launched ‘Growing your Whānau’, a gender inclusive primary carer leave policy, in November 2022.
Recognising the pressures that can come when people embark on the life journey of starting, or adding to, their whānau, Contact’s ‘Growing your Whānau’ policy is one of the most comprehensive and far-reaching of its kind in Aotearoa New Zealand.
The policy has been a success, with employee engagement, employee NPS and satisfaction with health and wellbeing benefits increasing.
