As you will know the change to lockdown levels in both Auckland and the rest of the country has the potential to impact the hosting of the New Zealand Energy Excellence Awards winners’ ceremony and dinner, scheduled for next week on March 10.
The event can only be held under Alert Level 1 in the host city.
At this stage the new lockdown levels have been set for seven days and will likely be reviewed throughout the week. We have decided it would be prudent to delay making a hard call on the holding of the awards ceremony and dinner on March 10 until around late Wednesday this week (March 3). This also allows time to hear from our suppliers, and for us to lay out all our options around a potential postponement and rescheduling.
We realise a postponement of the event would be very disappointing for everyone, particularly the awards category finalists who are waiting to hear the final results. So we would only make a call to postpone the event if we saw no other alternative.
