Transformational education, training and employment opportunities to prepare rangatahi for the future of work
Genesis Energy has successfully run Ngā Ara Creating Pathways, a youth-focused initiative, since July 2020 in the local communities where it generates electricity.
Ngā Ara engages with young people and is focused on attracting, nurturing, and engaging diverse rangatahi in science, technology, engineering, and maths and providing study and career pathways.The programme delivers onsite educational events, work experience opportunities, internships and apprenticeships as well as awarding scholarships to local students. It has received a high level of engagement and positive feedback, and foundations have been laid for the initiative to continue.
