Toby's tips - a must read for potential entrants

With just over five weeks until entries close, Toby Stevenson, Chair of the judging panel, has some top tips for all potential entrants:

  1. Read the instructions. Start by reading the entry pack – this will give you all the information you need to know about entering and taking part in the awards. Then read the entry form – this will give you all the instructions you need to complete your entry correctly.

  2. Tell your story well, so we can identify what you have achieved. Make sure questions in the entry form are answered succinctly, detail and emphasis is given to key points, and evidence is provided as proof of success. To give yourself a chance, you need a good story well told

  3. We don’t have any preconceived ideas to what success looks like. We want to hear about initiatives big and small, the quiet achievers alongside the rising stars, and step changes in performance, as well as every day best practice.

  4. For any entry related questions ask Neil. Neil Wembridge (General Manager, Freeman Media) is available to provide support for all potential entrants and should be able to answer any questions you might have. This includes any concerns you might have about confidentiality or the potential for conflicts of interest.

  5. Last but not least, you’ve got to be in it to win it. 100% of people who have won an energy excellence award, have put in an entry.  Make sure you get your entries in by 9th May.
